I was was looking for a delicious and fun place to treat my parents for brunch. The Shore Room did not disappoint! The outdoor atmosphere next to the river was so lovely. Service was great and the food was even better. Eggs Benedict and French toast were so yummy. Highly recommend! I love that they offer side orders of brunch items. Makes it fun to try different things!

I was invited back to The Shore to have a better experience courtesy of Michael and his team of The Renaissance. My husband and I came in on Sunday at noon and were promptly seated outside. I got the bottomless mimosas with grapefruit, orange, and cranberry juice and my husband had a beer. The champagne came in a glass and a carafe was placed on the side as well. Delicious! We started with the Salmon Tostadas - and they were AMAZING! The sauce was delicious, the fish was soft, and the shell was crunchy. We asked our AWESOME server what the sweetness was and she asked the chef - sugar in avocados make it more of a mousse like texture. Good to know. Then we ordered our main course. I had the Avocado Brioche Toast (again :)) with bacon on the side. My husband had the burger and fries. He absolutely loved the fries - those crunchy battered ones. My toast was delicious. The most fluffy and perfect toast with a beautiful over-medium egg! The bacon was crispy and delicious. Our server was very attentive the entire time and extremely kind! Her conversations were fun and she did not feel overbearing nor inattentive! We finished with the chocolate torte! Very rich but very delicious. It was a great way to end the brunch! Had dinner reservations for my sister's 21st birthday. The look of the restaurant was great and made Reno feel classy. Service was wonderful and took great care of us. We ordered a few of their signature cocktails which were tasty and balanced. Our food was delicious and reasonably priced. The burger was best dish we ordered and I would not recommend the gnocchi which while tasty lacked that pillowy texture and delicate touch. For birthday dinners, highly recommend. They went above and beyond the usual free dessert and gave us a sampler, a free drink for the birthday girl, and a sweet card with coupons. Great hospitality.

I love this beautiful restaurant located in the Renaissance hotel. They offer patio seating with nice views of the Truckee River. It's a perfect restaurant to dress up or down with inside/outside seating. If you've been here, you know what I mean. We initially stumbled across this restaurant, looking for chicken and waffles because I was too lazy to make it from scratch as a brunch treat. Instead, we found: great service, a quiet, beautiful spot on the river where we were able to enjoy our post workout brunch serving a full bar. Cue a mimosa, bloody Maria, and some Jameson. In the handful of visits, no hiccups with service; and we enjoyed eggs benedict and omlettes, avocado toast, and my kids ordered off their kids menu. I need to revisit! It's been too long! See you all in the near future!
